Proposed Birthday cake recipe

Now that my birthday month is here, Mommie is very busy planning my party. Not just party but also my actual birthday. Here is a cake recipe she is considering to bake for me! I hope I eat it to make her happy !

Applesauce Cake
1/2 cup flour scant tsp salt 1/4 tsp allspice
1 cup sugar 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp baking soda 1/4 stp cloves 1 TBS oil
1 cup applesauce 1 tsp Vinegar 1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup water

prehear oven to 325 and put the rack in the center
Sift all dry ingredients into an 8x8 pan so that it covers the bottom. Make four indentation/holes in the flour. in the first hole put the vanilla, in the second put vinegar (I know it sounds weird but you can't taste in once the cake is done), in the third put the applesauce, and in the fourth put the oil. Add a little of the water at a time, mixing with a spoon until it is all mixed well. Put in the oven for 30 mins or until a tooth pick comes out clean. You eat it plain, with siftted powder sugar on top or you can ice it with cream cheese frosting. You can leave it in the pan or do the whole greeseing the sides and dusting them with flour thing so you can turn it upside down and ice it if you like. This is a super moist cake.

These are the lyrics of the lullaby which Mommie sings for me to put me to sleep. A lullaby is called a 'Lori' in Hindi. She made this up herself.

My Naming Ceremony Ladoos...

The country where my Mommie and Daddie are from have a tradition of birth announcement where they distribute Motichoor Ladoo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laddu (sweet treat) to family and friends announcing my name and date of birth. Now that Nana and Nani are back in India, they finally finished the birth announcement.

My Pregnant Mommie

My Genesis

The first time Mommie and Daddie saw me I was only 4.4 mm and hardly visible. They got worried becasue they did not detect my heart beat. A few days later, on March 15 2006, they saw my heart beat for the first time when I was 7 wks 5 days (MA, 5 wks 5 days(GA)) and I was 7.1 mm.

They saw me again on March 29, I was having tiny arms and legs sprouting out of my tiny weeny body. I was almost 21 mm...growing so fast!

And then when I was 11 weeks I waved at Mommie and Daddie. They came to know I was boy on May 23 2006. I was 18 weeks. Mommie was thrilled and couldnt stop laughing although she was expecting me to be girl ! As I grew on , Mommie and Daddie called me with different names. Some of the most popular names were Baebu and Watermeleon ... no its not a typo... its a variation of baby and watermelon because Mommie had a perfect tummy like a watermelon and she used to eat lots of watermelon.

My Nursery

My mom made this room for me with lots of love and care, dreams and hope. She has stuffed it with lots of nice things for me. She decorated it with malawi - african jungle theme .

For now I have moved in to Mommie N Daddie's room.

Mommie's Baby Showers !

All the shower cakes... yes there was a cake covered with yellow roses!

Mommie had 6 baby showers and she recieved lots and lots of gifts for me ! I am so lucky to have all these wonderful people give me so many many gifts. :-) Thank you everyone!

Baby Shower at the Larsons... the neighborhood baby shower... the decorations were too good and it was by the Larson's pool side....

Blue and White Theme Baby Shower.... yes tha was the dress code for this shower was white shirt and blue jeans and it was so cute!
